Tourism in Ontario's Near North

A brief examination of tourism in Ontario's Near North as it is reflected in the archival holdings of the Nipissing University and Canadore College Archives and Special Collections.  Being located in an area of natural beauty, the Near North has proven to be just that - an easily accessible rendition of the common perception of Northern Ontario.  Littered with clear lakes filled with fish, abundant wildlife and easily accessible by road, rail or air, the Near North has been, and continues to be, an outdoorsmans playground.

All images contained in the exhibit are held within the archival collection of the Nipissing University and Canadore College Archives and Special Collections.
